Rossman, Roy Peter (13 March 1889 - 9 July 1958) 
 

Roy Peter Rossman, 69, died at his home in Greenwood last Wednesday afternoon, after an illness of several years.   Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon from Grace Methodist Church.  The Rev. Ethel Nulton officiated.  Burial was made in the Greenwood Cemetery. 
 

Pallbearers were: Leo Olson, George Braun, Alvin Albert, George Kuester, Orlin Schwarze and Otto Kind, Sr. 
 

Mrs. George Haeuser and Mrs. Fred Hohl sang, "Beyond the Sunset" and ‘"In the Garden," accompanied by Mrs. Donald Dixon. 
 

Roy Rossman, son of William and Anna (Zinsle) Rossman, was born March 13, 1889, at Fifield.  His mother died when he was born.  He was raised by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Rossman, Sr., of Greenwood. 
 

Mr. Rossman was married September 21, 1915, in Greenwood to Anna Schwarz. 
 

He attended Business College in La Crosse and was later a clerk in a general store, assistant cashier of the Farmers & Merchants Bank in Greenwood, and then went to Manitowoc, where they operated the Telephone Exchange until 1930.  He was the clerk of the Town of Warner for 19 years and farmed for 11 years after retuning from Manitowoc, and was employed in this area until he retired three years ago. 
 

Besides his wife he is survived by a sister, Mrs. Paris (Mabel) Rand of Eldorado; and two brothers, Elmer of Owen and Paul of Withee.
