David Michalak, 53, of Neillsville died
Saturday, March 6, 2010, in the Emergency Room of the Memorial
Medical Center in Neillsville.
David Dennis Michalak was born April 18,
1956, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield, the son of
Walter and Margaret (Ewing) Michalak. He attended Neillsville
High School, played football and graduated with honors in
1974. He then went on to the Eau Clarie Technical College and
graduated with honors in the tool and die program. Dave then
moved to Milwaukee and worked for many years at the American Tool
and Die Company. He returned to Neillsville 10 years ago and
worked at the Nelson Muffler Factory until it closed. Currently
Dave was working at D & S. Manufacturing in Black River
Falls.
Dave was a gentle giant who would do
anything for anyone. He was always very generous and giving
with all of his family and friends. He will be dearly missed
by all who know him.
He is survived by his parents, Walter and
Margaret Michalak of Neillsville; six sisters, Margie (Kop) Beck of
Cecil, Linda Michalak of Pray, Debbie (Jim) Reichenbach of Lake
Mills, Tammy (Tim) Kren of Owen, Brenda (Gary) Meihak of
Neillsville and Mary (Bill) Riddle of Neillsville. Dave is
also survived by many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and
nephews.
He was preceded in death by a nephew,
Daniel Riddle; a great-nephew, Dylan Bloch; and a grandmother,
Mabel Kozlowski.
A memorial service will be held at a
later date.
