Cox, George E. #4 (7 JUL 1911 - 20? JUL 1955)

 

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday afternoon at three o’clock from the Alliance Church for George Elwood Cox, with Rev. H. D. Wagner officiating.  Burial will be made at Riverside Cemetery.

 

Pallbearers will be Roy Pethers, Gilbert Plantico, Arne Awe, Robert Arndt, William Franz and Robert Mengel.  In charge of the floral offerings will be Rose Twait, Dorothy Franz and Myrtle Arndt.

 

The deceased was born on July 7, 1911, at Havannah, N.D.  Its just a little over a year ago that he was united in marriage to Mrs. Leslea Shuckart on July 7, 1954, in a ceremony performed here in Owen.  The couple have been living on a small farm south of Owen on DD and since the 1st of June he had been employed on the Petersen farm while his wife worked at the Havenet Nursing Home in Owen.

 

Mourning his tragic death are his wife, one daughter, Edythe; two brothers, Roy of Orangevale, Calif., and William of Doran, Minn.; two sisters, Mrs. Agnes Seiminski, Owen, and Mrs. Mable Sevenson, Aberdeen, S.D., and his father, George Cox of Brainerd, Minn.

 

Friends may call at the Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home.
