Roemke, Joann (Marriage - 23 August
1958)
The marriage of Walter Hinz, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Walter Hinz of Chili, to Joann Roemke, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Elmer Roemke of Wausau, was solemnized at 4 p.m. Saturday in
First Lutheran English Church, Wausau.
Vernon Schroeder of Mondovi was best man
and Jeanette Roemke, a sister of the bride, was maid of
honor. Miss Virginia Schroeder sang "The Lord’s
Prayer."
A reception was held in the Wausau
American Legion Hall. The bride is employed in a ladies’
ready-to-wear store at Wausau, and the groom has one semester left
of his senior year at the University of Wisconsin, where he is
majoring in mechanical engineering.
Attending from this area were Mr. and Mrs. Gust Hahm of Lindsey; Mr. and Mrs. Victor Christensen and son, Carl, of Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Donald Braatz, of Neillsville; Mr. and Mrs. Walter Hahm and Henry Grottke and Louis of Chili; and Mr. and Mrs. Herman Gluck and Mr. and Mrs. Reinhold Schalloch of Marshfield.
