Rebecca Belanger and Brian Simpson announce their engagement.   
 

Parents of the couple are Gary and Maureen Belanger of Athens and Dawn Simpson and Sean Kaperak of Elk Mound.  
 

Rebecca has an associate’s degree in accounting from Chippewa Valley Technical College. She is currently employed as an administrative assistant at Northwest Pathways to Independence, and as a tax preparer at Liberty Tax in Chippewa Falls.   
 

Brian has a technical degree in automotive maintenance and auto collision repair form Chippewa Valley Technical College. He is currently employed as a service technician at Adam’s Automotive in Eau Claire.   
 

A May 8, 2010 wedding is being planned at Trinity Lutheran Church in Athens.
