Meinholdt, Myrna (Marriage - 20 September
1958)
The Immanuel United Church of Christ was
the scene Saturday of the wedding of Miss Myrna Meinholdt of
Greenwood and Jerald A. Richmond, Rt. 2, Greenwood. Parents
of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Otto Meinholdt and Mr. and Mrs. Guy
Richmond. The Rev. Orval Egbert performed the double ring
ceremony. Nuptial music was furnished by Mrs. Alvin
Alberts.
The bride, given in marriage by her
father, was gowned in white nylon tulle and net over taffeta,
trimmed in lace and iridescent sequins. Her headpiece was
fashioned like a pill box hat and was trimmed with pearls and
sequins. She carried a bouquet of yellow roses and white
pompons with streamers.
Mrs. Herbert Horn, Greenwood, sister of
the groom, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Donna
Meinholdt, sister of the bride, and Rose Caryl Richmond, sister of
the groom. They were attired in dresses of yellow nylon net
and lace ruffles over taffeta, with jackets and matching
headpieces. They carried bronze pompons.
Herbert Horn was best man.
Groomsmen were Arthur Franz and Richard Jensen. Floyd Franz
and Orlin Fravert ushered.
The ceremony was followed by a wedding
dinner in the church parlors and a reception at the home of the
bride’s parents.
Both young people are graduates of
Greenwood High School. The groom is engaged in farming and
the bride is employed at a bank in Greenwood.
On their return from a wedding trip through the western states they will reside on the groom’s farm near Greenwood.
