Harvey, Mr. and Mrs. Wells F. (1958)
Publisher and Mrs. Wells F. Harvey are in
Neillsville after summer travels of more than 9,000 miles. Their
farthest point north was the Columbia ice fields and the Athabasca
glacier. To the west they reached the Pacific at San
Francisco and Los Angeles. Returning eastward they stopped at
the Grand Canyon, where they met their oldest son, William and his
family of Phoenix.
The Harveys made upward of 300 color
slides of their travel scenes, and 300 feet of color movies. These
will be shown to their friends and to such organizations as may
express the wish to see them.
Mr. and Mrs. Harvey are guests in
Neillsville of their son, Robert and his family at the old family
home on Hewett street. They will spend several weeks here, during
which Mr. Harvey will be occupied with matters of private and
newspaper business, consistent with his duties as publisher.
Among these duties will be attention to the New Year edition, which
has been his special project through the years.
The usual duties of editor and manager of The Press continue wholly in the hands of Robert Harvey.
