Gower, Ida Charlotte (27 February 1876 -
12 October 1958)
Mrs. Ida Charlotte Gower, 82, Granton,
Rt. 1, died Sunday in Neillsville. Funeral services were
conducted Wednesday from the Granton Methodist Church, of which she
was a member. The Rev. Virgil Holmes officiated, and burial was
made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.
Mrs. Gower, the former Ida Wilding, was
born February 27, 1876, in Clark County. She received her
education in the Reed School and the Neillsville High School.
On May 10, 1900, she was married to Lee Gower at Neillsville.
She has been a resident of Granton for the past 25 years.
She is survived by the following children: Irving, Gower, Granton; Mrs. Theo Crume, Neillsville; Mrs. Otto (Vera) Penvanstadler, Waukegan, Ill.; Mrs. Lisle (Doris) Armitage, Neillsville; and Glenn Gower, Marshfield; also six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
