Scholze, Theodore (22 April 1883 - 12
October 1958)
Funeral services were held from the
Mentor Town Hall Tuesday afternoon for Theodore A. Scholze, 75,
long-time treasurer of the town of Cleveland, Jackson County.
Burial was made in the Mentor Town Cemetery.
Mr. Scholze died at 6:40 p.m. Sunday
after suffering a cerebral hemorrhage.
He was born April 22, 1883, in
Czechoslovakia, the son of Anton and Anna Fritch Scholze. He
came to the United States with his parents at the age of eight, and
settled in La Crosse. In 1907 he was graduated from the
college of agriculture of the University of Wisconsin.
On February 2, 1911, Mr. Scholze was
married to Clara Accola, who survives. The ceremony took place at
Prairie du Sac.
Survivors also include nine sons, Ted of
LaPorte, Ind.; Lewis, Edwin and Reuben, all of Humbird, Walter of
Wisconsin Rapids; Clarence of Marinette; Lawrence of Fairchild;
Frank of Hixton, and Robert of Eau Claire.
Also surviving are four brothers and two
sisters: Beno of Holman, Otto of Warrens, Fred of Melrose and Tony
of Tomah; and Mrs. Peter (Gudula) Brunner and Mrs. Anna
Rowan. Twenty-four grandchildren also survive.
