Neitzel, William (30 JUNE 1858-Day ? JUNE 1947)

 

William Neitzel, 99, a resident of Loyal before going to Tulare, S.D., two years ago to make his home with his daughter, Mrs. Albert Neitzel, died there last Wednesday, the result of a complication of ailments.

 

Funeral services were conducted at Marshfield at 2 p.m. Saturday, the Rev. Arthur R. Oates of the First Presbyterian church of Marshfield officiating. Interment was in Hillside cemetery in that city.

 

Mr. Neitzel was born on June 30, 1858, in Pomerania, Germany, receiving his education there and in Dodge county. He was a resident of Loyal from 1880 until the death of his wife about two years ago. His wife was the former Minnie Ehlert, whom he married here.

 

Mr. Neitzel, who was once chairman and supervisor of the town of Loyal, is survived by six children, Mrs.Albert ( Minnie) Neitzel of Tulare, S.D.; Robert of Newell, Ia.; Max and Mrs. William (Hattie) Kleinschmidt, both of Loyal; Mrs. Cora Beckfield of Pomeroy, Ia., and Eppie of Milwaukee. Another daughter, a brother and a sister preceded him in death. There are 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
