A family buffet supper on Friday night, June 6, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles William Illingworth, 724 Munroe avenue, Racine, Preceding the marriage the following day of their daughter, Margaret Jean, and Ramond Edward Schultz of Loyal. Peonies and hawethorne blossoms decorated Grange Avenue Methodist church for the 7:30 ceremony, performed by the Rev. Granville M. Calhoun.
Mrs. John Schultz and Miss Jeanette Schultz of Hinsdale, Mont., mother and sister of the bridegroom, were among the out of town guests. Others included Miss Beverly Stockland and Mrs. Roland Berger of Madison and Miss Elizabeth Lee of Janesville. At the reception for 100 guests in the church parlors, Jeanette Frank and Phyllis Cook Berger of Madison poured.
To her grayish-aqua fishtail suit the bride pinned a corsage of white roses. Given in marriage by her father, she was attended by Mrs. Jerome H. Matson, in a light brown fishtail suit and corsage of yellow roses. Mr. Matson was best man. As guests were seated by Arthur P. Jorgenson Jr. and Richard J. Illingworth, brother of the bride, they heard an organ recital by Margaret Williams Owen, who also accompanied the soloist, Phyllis Berger.
At the reception Mrs. Illingworth received in a gray silk crepe frock, gray straw hat and lavender corsage. Mrs. Schultz was in navy, with which she wore red roses.
Following the reception, the bridegroom, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Schultz took his bride to northern Wisconsin for a week’s honeymoon.
After June 20, they will be at 421 North Murray street, Madison, during the eight-week summer session of the University of Wisconsin. After Aug. 15, they will reside here, where both will teach next year-the bride teaching English and speech and the bridegroom physical education.
To the newlyweds, The Loyal Tribune extends its wishes for a long and happy married life.
