Fricke, Jeannine (10 JUNE 1947)

The marriage of Miss Jeannine Phyllis Fricke, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Fricke of Loyal, and Dale Edmund Young, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Young, also of Loyal, was solemnized at the Loyal Methodist church at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 10, by the Rev. Lee H. Holmes.

The double ring ceremony was read at the altar, which was beautifully decorated with streamers, a wedding bell, lilacs and other cut flowers.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. Her duchess satin gown was styled with a train, long sleeves, buttoned back, and a net yoke was attached to the bodice with appliqué designs. Her long veil was decorated at the bottom with heart-shaped insets. She also carried an arm bouquet of roses and lilies.

Miss Mary Jean Fricke, sister of the bride, was maid of honor, and Mrs. Robert Young, sister-in-law of the groom, was bridesmaid. Both wore gowns of blue, with shoulder-length veils, and carried carnations. Both maid of honor and bridesmaid wore yellow gold necklaces with pearl settings, gifts of the bride.

The groom’s attendants were Jack Kruger, cousin of the bride, and Robert Young, his brother. Vern Olsen and Floyd Olsen, friends of the bride and groom served as ushers.

Miss Mary Kathryn Loch, cousin of the bride was flower girl. She wore a floor-length dress of white nylon and carried a miniature replica of the bride’s bouquet. Tommy Loch, another cousin of the bride, was ring bearer.

The wedding march was played by Mrs. Arnold Wicklund, who also accompanied Miss Gay Nelson, who sang "I Love You Truly" and "Always."

The church parlors were decorated with pastel streamers, flowers and candles for the reception at 6:30 p.m., which was attended by 75 guests. A three-tier wedding cake centered the bridal table.

Both Mr. and Mrs. Young are graduates of the Loyal high school.

A dance honoring the couple was given at the Eagles hall in Marshfield during the evening.

After a week’s honeymoon in northern Wisconsin and Minnesota, Mr. and Mrs. Young will be at home to their friends on a farm on route one.

Out of town guests attending the wedding were: Mr. and Mrs. Ed Kruger and Mr. and Mrs. Holden Leitz and son Karl, of Coloma, Mr. and Mrs. William Loch and family of Watkins, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Fricke of Eau Claire, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Quinn and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Quinn of Westfield, and Mr. and Mrs. Gust Anderson of Anthens.

The Loyal Tribune joins their many friends in wishing them a long and happy journey through life.
