Stuve, Virginia (10 JUNE 1947)

On the evening of June 10, the Loyal Free Methodist church was the scene of a lovely wedding, when Virginia Stuve of Owen became the bride of Jesse Bonney of Wessington Springs, S. D. The church was beautifully decorated with an arch of lilacs across the front and large  baskets of purple and white lilacs on either side. Mary Stuve, sister of the bride, accompanied by Alice Fensome sang "Love Devine" and "Because" and also played the wedding march.

The bride was lovely in a white satin gown, with veil and bouquet of yellow roses. The bridesmaid, Phyllis Stuve, another sister of the bride, was dressed in a floor-length gown of pink. The groom was attended by his brother, Harry Bonney.

The Rev. Elmer Parsons, dean of Wessington Springs college, performed the ceremony/

Mrs. Bonney is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. A, Stuve of Owen and is a teacher by profession. Mr. Bonney graduated from Wessington Springs and is preparing to enter the ministry. He will complete his theological training at Seattle (Wash.) co;;ege, where he and his bride have gone.

A reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents in Owen.

Out of state guests were Mr. Bonney’s mother, his sister, Naomi, his brother, Harry, and the Rev. Mr. Parsons, all of Wessington.
