Bauer, Dorothy (11 JUNE 1947)
Miss Dorothy Bauer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Bauer of route one, Spencer, became the bride on Wednesday, June 11, of Ralph J. Fischer of Milwaukee, son of Mr. and Mrs. Victor Fischer Sr. of route two, Spencer. The Rev. Fr. Bernard Henry read the nuptial high mass at Christ the King Catholic church in Spencer.
The bride’s gown was made with a satin bodice and a full skirt of net over satin, with a train. The long veil was caught to a headdress of seed pearls. The bridal bouquet was made up of yellow roses, lilies and lily-of-the-valley.
The maid of honor was Miss Bernadine Bauer, sister of the bride, who wore pink nylonette, with a matching bonnet and carried carnations. Misses Dolores Fischer and Florence Fischer, a sister and a cousin of the groom, were bridesmaids. They wore yellow nylonette and blue net, respectively, with matching bonnets.
The best man, Rueben Ficcher, is a brother of the groom. Ushers were Gerald Bauer, cousin of the bride, and Joseph Weber.
A wedding breakfast was served at the home of the groom’s parents, and a dinner and supper were prepared at the home of the bride’s parents, where 125 guests were in attendance at the reception. A dance honoring the couple was given at the Country ballroom, near Marshfield, that evening.
After July 1, Mr. and Mrs. Fischer will be at home to friends in Milwaukee, where the groom is a plumber.
To the newlyweds, the Loyal Tribune extends its wishes for a long and happy married life.
