Evans, Will Mr. and Mrs. 50th anniversary (JULY 1947)
Mr. and Mrs. William Evans celebrated their golden wedding anniversary at Marshfield, with 35 relatives and friends present for dinner.
Mr. and Mrs. Evans came here 39 years ago from Juneau county and since owned and operated a 120-acre farm in the town of Loyal until 17 years ago, when they discontinued farming and moved to Loyal.
They have five children: Mrs. Herman Bires of Eugene, Ore.; Mrs. Henry Anderegg of Loyal: Mrs. Carl Olstinske of Racine: Mrs. Clayton Bassett of Flint, Mich.; and William Evans Jr. of Marshfield, also 19 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Those from away who attended were Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Bassett and children, Duane and Eunice of Flint, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Young and three sons, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Schuttes and grandson and William Milard, all of Mauston, and Miss Minnie Anderegg of Chicago.
