Proctor, Mary (06 JAN 1879-26 JULY 1947)

 

Mr. Mary Proctor passed away at her home in Owen at 9:30 Saturday morning, July 26, after an illness of six months. Funeral services were conducted last Tuesday afternoon at the Griebenow funeral home in Owen, with the Rev. C. S. Matthews officiating. Burial was in the Riverside cemetery.

 

Pallbearers at the service were John Parker, Bert Morley, Charles Schmocker, Gus Braun, Ben Bruchert and Harry Craig.

 

Mary Proctor (nee Kissinger) was born on Jan. 6, 1879, in the town of Sherman. She was united in marriage to Hiram Proctor in June 1906. They lived their entire married life in Clark county, first on various farms in the vicinity of Loyal, Spencer and Withee, then moving to Owen, where they resided for 27 years.

 

Her husband and one infant son preceded her in death. Surviving are two daughters, Gladys of Minneapolis and Margaret of St. Paul, and a son, Forrest, of Oshkosh. One brother, Philip Kissinger, of Loyal, three grandchildren and numerous friends also survive.
