Possley, Hilda #3 (17 SEP 1888 - 13 AUG 1955)
Mrs. Nick Possley, 66, Macomb, Ill., formerly of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), was instantly killed about 9 p.m. Saturday in an automobile accident near Monmouth, Ill. Her husband, formerly a cheese factory owner in this area and three other passengers in their car are in the hospital with injuries received. Two of the passengers are Mr. and Mrs. Ben Smigaj, also of Macomb. Mrs. Smigaj is Mrs. Possley’s daughter.
Reports on the accident indicate that the Possley’s were southbound at the time of the crash. The other car was headed east and reportedly went through a stoplight at the intersection of the two highways. Two of the five passengers in that car are reported to be in critical condition.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Possley is survived by two sons, Raymond, Mendota, Ill., Roger, Dundee, Mich., and her daughter, Mrs. Smigaj; and several brothers and sisters.
