Huckstead, Nancy (1958)
4-H News by John F. Oncken, 4-H Club
Agent:
By now you possibly know that Nancy
Huckstead, a long-time member of the Pleasant Ridge 4-H Club, has
been selected as one of the State 4-H Home Economics winners.
She is one of only nine girls selected in the state, and, as such,
will receive an expense paid trip to the National 4-H Club Congress
in Chicago.
Besides being a great personal achievement and honor, this award is also an honor to Clark County. Especially is that so in light of the fact that this is the second consecutive year that Clark County has had a state winner. Last year, June Haslow of rural Loyal was the state food preservation winner. These state winners are selected on the basis of their record books. It means that the winners have been selected from about 50,000 4-H’ers in Wisconsin’s 71 counties.
