Strathman, Roberta (16 AUG 1955)

Miss Roberta Strathman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Strathman of Colby, became the bride of Robert Devine, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Devine of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.).

Father Edward Bertz, cousin of the bride, read the single ring ceremony which was performed at 10:00 on August 16, 1955, at the Blessed Sacrament Church, La Crosse.

Mr. and Mrs. Pete Devine, brother and sister-in-law of the groom, attended the couple.

The bride wore a street suit of brown with matching accessories, the maid of honor a pink and blue street suit.  Both wore a corsage of yellow roses.

Following the ceremony a dinner was held at the Stoddard Hotel, La Crosse, for the bridal party and immediate families.

The bride is a graduate of the Colby High School and the groom graduated from Owen High School.  After a wedding trip to northern Wisconsin, they will make their home on a farm at Withee.

Guests attending the wedding from here were Mr. and Mrs. Robert Strathman, Robin and Bonnie of Colby, Mr. and Mrs. James Devine, Jay and Mike of Withee, and Mr. and Mrs. Pete Devine and Cynthia.
