Thorson, Mrs. Alvin (24 September 1876 –? 1958) 
 

Funeral services were conducted at 2 o’clock Monday afternoon for Mrs. Alvin Thorson, 82, from Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Longwood.  The Rev. J. L. Fanner officiated.  Burial was made at Riverside Cemetery. Her six sons served as pallbearers. 
 

Mrs. Thorson was born at Winchester September 24, 1876, and was married to Alvin Thorson on January 20, 1894.  They lived in Winchester until 1903, when they settled on their farm southwest of Withee.  In 1934 they moved to Withee, and a few years later moved to Owen, where they had since resided. 
 

Mrs. Thorson is survived by her husband and six sons: Roy of Marshfield, Harry of Withee, Orville of Minneapolis, Edward of Chippewa Falls, Alvin, Jr., of Fond du Lac, and Gordon of Owen.  Several grandchildren, and four brothers also survive.
