Gorman, Elva (1 May 1912)
Married, on Wednesday, May 1st, at St. Paul Mr. Alfred Sherman and Miss Elva Gorman of this city. Mr. Sherman is the son of Charles Sherman, an old soldier of the Civil War, and Mrs. Sherman, his wife. Alfred is one of the Spanish War veterans and was the only one who received a gun shot wound. Alfred is a smart and industrious young man, and has been engaged in the undertaking business in Minneapolis for the past few years. He has many friends in this city as he is well known here. His bride is the oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Con Gorman and is a highly respected young lady. She has a loving disposition, which has won for her many friends. She is also a fine milliner. Mr. Sherman came home last winter to make a visit and while here he met Miss Gorman, whom he chose to be his bride. We wish them well and hope their days may be filled with happiness.
