Ernest Schnabel died last Thursday at his home about four miles east of this city from pneumonia.  Mr. Schnabel was born in Germany and was aged 61 years, nine months and 27 days.  He had been a resident of Clark county for many years and was one of the sturdiest and most industrious pioneers.  He rightfully deserved the reputation for honesty and integrity which he always maintained and a more industrious and painstaking man never lived.  Mr. Schnabel is survived by his wife and two children, Mrs. Gus Holtz and Alfred Schnabel.  The funeral was held Monday afternoon, services being held in the German Reformed church and interment being made in the Neillsville cemetery.
