Low Spot Temperatures (1958)

Carl Opelt, who lives near the mouth of Wedges Creek in Levis, reported 25 degrees below zero Tuesday morning at his farm.

"When it is still without a wind blowing," said Mr. Opelt, "we record 10 degrees lower than Neillsville; but when the wind is blowing we usually have the same temperature." Mr. Opelt believes the low spot in his area accounts for this colder temperature.
