Edgebert, Mary Fletcher (17 Mar 1840 - 18 June 1912) 
 

Mrs. W.D. Edgebert died Tuesday night at her home on 5th street after a brief illness with pneumonia, contracted while at Chetek.  Mrs. Edgebert was born Mary Fletcher Harriman in Maine and was 72 years old on March 17th last.  When a young girl she came with her parents to Neillsville, when this city was but a village, and she has made her home here ever since.  She was united in marriage to W.D. Edgebert in 1882.  She was a member of the Episcopal church and was an earnest Christian and a lady whose mental attainments placed her in high esteem by all her friends.  She was of kindly disposition and was withall a most excellent lady.  She is survived by her husband and the following brothers and sisters: W.O. Harriman of this city, Mrs. St. Johns of Portage, Mrs. Sarah Summerfield of Pierre, N.D., Mrs. Elizabeth Spencer of Necedah, Mrs. Julia Curry of Curry Hill, Canada, and James Harriman of Necedah.  Mrs. Edgebert will be buried this afternoon.  Short services will be held at the house at 2 o’clock.  Mrs. St. Johns and Mrs. Spencer were here in attendance at the bedside of Mrs. Edgebert.
