Bartell, Henry (8 July 1912)
Henry Bartell claims that he drives the most reliable automobile in Neillsville. Monday he says that he took a party of land buyers out, leaving here after the afternoon train came in, drove three miles this side of Greenwood, drove all over three back forties without getting out of the car, and got the party back to Neillsville in time to catch the 5:07. The rightful name of Bartell’s machine is the Cartercar, but some of his friends have dubbed it the Clattercar and claim that Henry never shuts the engine off for fear he can’t get it started again.
