Dunn, Patrick (25 Mar 1839 - 4 July 1912)

Patrick Dunn died at his home in this city on July 4th from the effects of pneumonia.  He was born in County Clair, Ireland, March 25, 1839, and at an early age came to this county to make his home.  He was united in marriage to Mary Ann Shean on Sept. 12, 1865, in London, Ohio.  For many years he was a resident of this city.  He was industrious and a hard-working man and a well known and likeable character.  His quaint and ready Irish wit made many friends for him and his twinkling eye denoted his cheery disposition and friendly character.  He was the father of eight children: John of Ashland; Mrs. Theresia Maloney of Ashland; Patrick of Prince Albert, Canada; Thomas, Catherine, Nellie and William of this city.  He is also survived by seven grandchildren.  The funeral was held Saturday morning and interment was made in the Catholic cemetery.
