Charles Habeck of Wausau spent the 4th here. 
 

Miss Alice Phillips is visiting at Ft. Atkinson. 
 

Mrs. Runge returned home to Beloit last Friday. 
 

Miss Katie Alexander came home from Tomah yesterday. 
 

F.W. Schultz went to Columbus last week to join his family. 
 

Mrs. Fred Wendt and children of Alma Center spent the 4th here. 
 

Mr. and Mrs. L.H. Howard were at Minneapolis the first of the week.  Mrs. Mat Scherer left yesterday for a visit at Wausau and Fond du Lac. 
 

William West fell from his bay mow Tuesday night and was seriously injured. 
 

Mrs. R. Townsend and Miss Vera Sherholtz are home from their visit at Fond du Lac. 
 

Miss Avis Ring is home from Madison where she has been attending the state university.   
 

Miss Gladys Free entertained a party of young ladies Tuesday night in honor of Miss Avada Wood. 
 

M. Lastofka will ship cattle, calves and hogs from Granton and Neillsville next Monday and Tuesday, July 15 and 16. 
 
 

Mrs. Natalie Duff of Chicago is visiting at the home of her brother, Rev. H.A. Risser.  She arrived with her little daughter last Saturday. 
 

Mrs. Jackson and daughter, Miss Esther, are home from Madison.  They came home by way of Plymouth, bringing with them Robert Minta who will visit here for a few weeks. 
 

Mrs. Thomas Fraser, who has been visiting the L.H. Howard and W.A. Campman families, left last week for Glendive, Mont., to visit her brother before returning to her home at Bellingham, Wash. 
 

Tuesday night this locality was visited by a severe electrical storm.  Lightning struck the chimney on Geo. Trogner’s residence, the barn on the Lye place on Hewett street, Wm. Ganit’s house in the town of York, and also killed a cow belonging to Joe Meyers and a colt belonging to John Marquardt.
