Edblom, Arlyn Arthur (April 8, 1920 - March 19, 2010) 
 

Arlyn A. Edblom, age 90, of Colby, passed away at his home on Friday, March 19, 2010.

 
Arlyn Arthur Edblom was born on March 8, 1920 in Unity, the son of Arthur and Alvina (Johnson) Edblom.  
 

He was raised on the family farm, in the town of Colby, and received his education at Sunshine School.  
 

Arlyn was united in marriage to Zona Will on March 22, 1941 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Unity. They farmed until 1958, and then were known as Edblom Carpentry. He enjoyed building homes and his carpentry work.

 
Arlyn was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and had many interests, but especially loved spending time with his family and polka dancing with his wife, Zona.

 
He will be dearly missed by his wife, Zona, of Colby; his daughters, Colene (Bernie) Stuttgen of Thorp, Carol (Allen) Duvall of Colby; his grandchildren, Tammy & Tom Kirsch, Tim Duvall, Dr. Jay & Donna Stuttgen, Joel & Karen Stuttgen, Jan & Rod Brockman; great-grandchildren, Tyler & Taylor Kirsch, Colten & Nicole Duvall, Caitlin & Cortni Stuttgen, Leah & Ashley Schill, Jason, Kyle, Kendra, Jacob & Kaylee Stuttgen, and Shane & Spencer Brockman; brothers, Alvin Edblom of Medford and Alfred Edblom of Unity; sisters, Ethel Felker of Oshkosh, Eleanor Mellenthin of Spencer, and Gail Mainard of Arizona; and sisters-in-law, Florence Edblom of Colby, Joan Will of Spencer, Arlene Will of Colby, Jeanette Will of Colby, and Doris Schilling of Abbotsford.

 
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Arnold and Arthur Edblom, Jr.; and his sisters, Esther Egnoski, Evelyn Alexander and Eileen Safemaster.

 
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at Trinity Lutheran Church, in Unity, with Rev. Dale Wilford presiding. Music will be provided by Karen Brown, the organist; his niece, Mary Ann Will, the pianist; and his daughter, Carol Duvall, the soloist.

 
Burial will follow in the Colby Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his great-grandchildren, Taylor & Tyler Kirsch, Nicole & Colten Duvall, Caitlin & Cortni Stuttgen, and Jason & Kyle Stuttgen. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren, Tammy & Tom Kirsch, Tim Duvall, Dr. Jay & Donna Stuttgen, Joel & Karen Stuttgen, and Jan & Rod Brockman. Visitation will be held at the church, on Tuesday, from 10 a.m. until time of service.

 
In lieu of flowers, the family will establish a memorial at a later date.
