Last Friday Thomas B. Barber of Chicago was struck by a speeding automobile and sustained injuries, which resulted in his death a short time after. He was hurried to his home, but died soon after reaching there. He was 77 years of age and was a retired livestock commission merchant. He was a brother-in-law of Thomas M. Alexander of this city. Mrs. Alexander and daughter, Miss Kate, went to Chicago Saturday in response to a telegram and Mr. Alexander and W.L. Hemphill went Sunday to attend the funeral.
