Duncan Family Reunion (2 Sept
1912)
The home of J.R. Duncan was the scene of a very happy family reunion last Monday. There were present Mrs. Duncan’s mother, Mrs. A. Frank of Portland, her brothers, A. Frank of Nicarague, and Tom Frank, her sisters, Mrs. Zingshiem and Mrs. Tyrrell of Portland, Mrs. Young of Elmwood, Wis., and Mrs. Rose Behrens of South Bend, Wash. A brother-in-law, Mr. Tyrrell of Portland and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Alice Frank of Neillsville, Wis., were also there, and the following nieces: The Misses Iva Young, Effie Tyrrell and Helen Behrens. Especial interest was aroused by this reunion from the fact that two of the guests, Tom Frank and Mrs. Alice Frank, were unexpected, and they did not even know where the brother was. Mrs. Duncan’s home was beautifully decorated, the dining room with golden-banded lilies and ferns, and the parlor with pink and white roses and baby breath. It goes without saying that a sumptuous dinner was served. It was a reunion long to be remembered. - Gresham, Ore., Outlook
