Bowe, Arlene A.(20 May 1944 - 25 March
2010)
Arlene A. Bowe, 65, of Withee died
Thursday, March 25, 2010, at Clark County Health Care
Center.
Arlene was born May 20, 1944, to Arthur
O. and Alice M. (Meinhardt) Petke Sr. She was raised near
Longwood, attending Longwood School and Greenwood High School,
graduating in 1964.
She was united in marriage Jan. 4, 1954,
to Clayton E. Bowe. Their marriage resulted in three children,
Alicia (Dennis) Djubenski of Greenwood, Theresa (Greg) Albers of
Sauk City and Cletus (Sharon) of Medford.
Arlene and Clayton farmed in Longwood for
many years. Arlene also held various jobs throughout the
area, working in many factories and proudly earning her
cheese-maker’s license. She will be remembered as having a
strong work ethic, a deep devotion to her family, interests in good
food, music and reading, all enjoyed with a dog or two at her
side.
Arlene is also survived by her brother,
Arthur A. (Kathy) Petke, Jr. of Withee; her beloved grandchildren,
Aarica and Tylor of Greenwood, ClancyJo and Gustave of Sauk City
and Samantha and Clay of Medford; as well as many brothers-in-law
and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents
and in-laws, Edward and Mary Bowe.
At Arlene’s expressed wishes, there
will be no funeral services, and a private burial will take place
at a later date. Cremation Society of Wisconsin, Altoona, is
assisting the family.
Her family would like to thank her devoted friends, family members and the staff at Clark County Health Care Center for their dedication to her throughout these past few months.
