Blum, Walter (31 MAY 1891 - 22 NOV 1955)
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon, Nov. 26, for Walter Blum, 64, at Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home. After the services his remains were shipped to Marion, Ia. For burial.
Death came to him late Tuesday afternoon, Nov. 22nd, 1955, when he suffered a heart attack.
The deceased was born on May 31, 1891, at Lafayette, Ia. For many years he made his home in this community, having spent most of his life farming northeast of Owen (Clark Co., Wis.) in the town of Holway. Of late years he had been retired became of ill health, suffering a stroke about three years ago, and since that time has made his home in Owen.
In his youth he was a great baseball enthusiast and in later years managed several ball clubs in this area.
Surviving him are a daughter, Mrs. Theodore Forcier of Pomona, Calif.; and three sons, Harold, also of Pomona, Calif.; and Wallace and Howard, both of whom reside in the state of Washington.
