Jensen, Anna C. (1879 - 26 DEC 1955)

At two o’clock this afternoon funeral services for Mrs. Jens A. Jensen were conducted from the Nazareth Lutheran Church at Withee, with burial being made in the parish cemetery.  The Rev. Clayton Nielsen, pastor of the parish, officiated at the service.

Serving as pallbearers were Sam Andersen, Chris Frost, Chris Eli, Sig. Borgeson,, Carl Petersen and Andrew Olsen.  In charge of the floral offerings were Mesdames, Owen Melin, Sig. Borgeson, Chris Eli, Andrew Olsen, and Miss Hulga Andersen.

Mrs. Jensen passed away at her home north of Withee at nine o’clock Monday evening, succumbing to a lingering illness.

She was born May 29, 1879, in Denmark, and came to the United States when she was a young lady.  On Jan. 16, 1908, she was united in marriage to Jens A. Jensen in a ceremony performed at Ringstad, Ia.  Two years later the couple came to this community, establishing a home north of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), where she had lived happily for the past 45 years and raised a family of four children.

Mourning her passing are he husband, three sons, Arnold of Eau Claire, Leonard and Erling of Withee, and a daughter, Mrs. Reichwald, who lives in Illinois, and a number of grandchildren.
