Lundy, Walter (1 NOV 1872 - 16 MAR 1956)
Walter Lundy, 83, a resident of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.) since 1902, died Friday night at Victory Memorial Hospital, Stanley, after a short illness of two days.
Born Nov. 1, 1872, in Pennsylvania, he came to Withee 30 years later and continued to make his home in that village for the next 53 years. For several years he had suffered from asthma and this condition coupled with pneumonia contracted earlier last week, proved fatal to him.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at two o’clock from the Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home, Owen, with the Rev. H. D. Wagner, pastor of the Alliance Church, officiating. During the services vocal numbers were sung by Rev. and Mrs. Wagner.
Serving as pallbearers were Art Leine, Charley Whittemore, William Veurink, Harry Thorson, Mike Sorenson and Frank Tormey.
He is survived by one brother, Joseph, also of Withee.
