Scheel, Henry (20 DEC 1903 - 24 MAR 1956)

Shocking news was received here last Sunday morning by Mrs. Agnes Potter of the death of her brother, Henry A. Scheel, Saturday, March 24th, 1956, of a cerebral hemorrhage.

He was a former resident of Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), but had moved to Colorado Springs, Colo., about 13 years ago.

Hank, as he was known to everyone, was born Dec. 20, 1903, in Owen, spent all his life here before moving to Colorado.  He married the former Jeanette St. John in 1931.  To this union, one daughter, Joanne was born.

Services were held Wednesday, March 28th, at the Law Drawing Room, Rev. Maurice McDowell officiated and burial was made at the Colorado Memorial Shrine.  Pallbearers were the three brothers and two brothers-in-law.

He leaves to mourn, his wife Jeanette, and daughter, Joann, Mrs. Ed Campbell, one sister, two grandchildren, Billy and Jeff Campvell, Mrs. Agnes Potter and brothers, Alfred, Arthur, Walt and Ed.

Those who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Ed Campbell and sons of Augusta, Ga.; Mr. and Mrs. Ed Scheel and Mr. and Mrs. Art Scheel of California; Mrs. Agnes Potter and Walt Scheel of Owen; Mr. Alfred Scheel of Abbotsford and a host of friends.

Hank will be sadly missed by all who knew him, as he had many friends here and in Colorado.
