Kintzele, Effie E. (19 Dec 1863 - 24 Sept
1912)
On Tuesday, Sept. 24th, at
9:30 a.m. Effie E., beloved wife of John P. Kintzele, passed away
at her home at Romadka in the town of York. She was 48 years,
nine months and five days of age.
Effie E. Allen was born in Dodge county, Wisconsin, December 19th, 1863. Her parents, Harmon and Harriet Allen, moved to Clark County when she was one year old, settling in the town of York, on what was known for years afterward as the Allen homestead, now owned and occupied by Walter Graves. Here Effie grew to womanhood, and on July 27, 1887, she was united in marriage to John P. Kintzele. She and her husband moved onto their farm at Romdaka, which has been their home ever since. For a number of years before her marriage she taught in the schools of Clark county. She was the mother of four children, two sons and two daughters. The oldest, Frances Magdalene, died when 11 months old. Her husband and three children, J. Vernon, Mildred E. and Harland A. live to mourn the loss of a faithful wife and a devoted mother. Besides the members of her own family she leaves five sisters, viz: Mrs. Prosser and Mrs. Miller of the state of Washington, and Mrs. R.C. Beecher, Mrs. N.E. Lee and Mrs. H. Pietenpol of Granton, Wis.
