Knoop, Elsie (6 Nov 1912)
Yesterday morning at 9 o’clock
occurred the marriage of William O. Duge and Miss Elsie Knoop at
the home of the bride’s parents in town Pine Valley.
The couple were attended by Miss Tena Seif and Nick Scherer.
The bride wore white santois. The Knoop home was prettily
decorated for the occasion, carnations being the prominent
feature. The guests were made up from the relatives of the
couple and after a wedding dinner Mr. and Mrs. Duge left for
Detroit, Mich., where they will spend a few days before returning
here to take up housekeeping.
The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Knoop and is one of the most pleasing and estimable young ladies in this vicinity. For some time she held a position in the C.C. Sniteman drug store where her geniality and accommodating manners gave her a wide acceptance and many friends. Mr. Duge is the son of Mr. and Mrs. L. Duge of town York. He is a young farmer by avocation and his intelligence and energy cannot but combine to make him entirely successful in his chosen field of labor. He and his bride will occupy the Duge farm and upon their return home his parents expect to remove to Detroit to make their home.
