Short, Mae (12 Nov 1912)
Tuesday morning Rev. Nye united in marriage Mr. Walter Bell and Miss Mae Short at the home of the bride at Shortville. The young couple was attended by Miss Ruth Carter and Ralph Short. They left Tuesday afternoon for Ft. Atkinson and other points in the southern part of the state for a brief wedding trip after which they will return to Shortville and take up their residence on the groom’s farm. The groom is a newcomer to Shortville, having lived there about a year and a half. Previous to that time he was a bookkeeper for an automobile factory in Michigan. He is a clever and intelligent young man and during his short residence here has made many friends by his geniality and excellent character. His bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Short and is one of the most highly esteemed young ladies of the Shortville neighborhood. She has many qualities which have endeared her in the hearts of a large circle of acquaintances and especially fit her for the position she assumes.
