Haas, Blanche (13 AUG 1874 - 27 APR 1956)

 

Funeral services for Mrs. Blanche Haas were conducted at two o’clock Tuesday afternoon, May 1, from the Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home.  The Rev. Ralph Claybaugh, pastor of the First Congregational Church, Owen, officiated at the final rites.  During the service vocal selection were sung by Clark Nissen with Jane Grimes serving as his accompanist.  Burial was made at Riverside Cemetery.

 

Pallbearers were Lyle Haas, Russell Haas, Clarence Strohkirch, Charles Haas, William Owens and Glenn Owens.

 

Mrs. Blanche Haas was 81 years and nine months of age, having been born Aug. 13, 1874 at Waukesha, the daughter of the late Edward Daugherty and Martha Haskins.  She was united in marriage to Charles Haas on Nov. 18, 1918. The couple moved to this vicinity where they successfully farmed south of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.) until 1944, when they retired and moved into the village of Withee.  The couple lived happily in their retirement until his death in 1951.  At that time Mrs. Haas moved to Owen where she made her home until her death on Friday the 27th of April, 1956.

 

She is survived by two brothers-in-law, William Haas and Thomas Haas, as well as several nephews and nieces.
