Hendriks, Violet E. (Turenne) (January
15, 1918 - April 20, 2010)
Violet E. Hendriks, 92, Town of Hoard, died Tuesday April 20, 2010 at the Clark County Health Care Center.
Violet was born January 15, 1918 in Thorp, the daughter of Peter
and Hilda (Meyer) Turenne.
She graduated from Thorp High School. During high school Violet worked as a clerk at a grocery store.
On December 4, 1940, the former Violet Turenne was united in
marriage to Frank Hendriks. The Hendriks’s owned and operated
a family farm.
Mrs. Hendriks was a long time member of St John’s Lutheran
Church and was also an active in their Ladies Aide Program. She
enjoyed berry picking, baking, and gardening.
Violet is lovingly survived by her husband, Frank of Withee; and
children, Fay (Donald) Stolp of Mosinee, and Nancy (Denny) Henke of
Withee. She is further survived by five grandchildren, Michael
Stolp, Jeffery (Vicki) Stolp, Yvonne (Shane) Moen, Monty (Renea)
Henke, and Mindy (Greg) Heiden; 11 great grandchildren, Jay,
Anthony, Zachary, Dylan, Brooke, Shawna, Heidi, Tyler, Kaitlyn,
Rachal, Jacob; siblings, Glen (Carol) Turenne, Frieda Dumalski,
Inez Haas, Bernice Fry all of Illinois, and Naomi Miskanis of Owen;
as well as many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She
will truly be missed.
Mrs. Hendriks is proceeded in death by her parents, Peter and
Hilda, as well as six siblings.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday April 24, 2010 at
the St John’s Lutheran Church, Withee. Burial will be in the
Riverside Cemetery, Withee. A time of visitation will be held from
9:30-11:00 a.m. at the Church on Saturday. Maurina-Schilling
Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
