Schindler, Michael "Mike" (February 27, 1958 - April 19, 2010) 
 

Michael "Mike" Schindler, age 52, of Curtiss passed away on the family farm on Monday, April 19, 2010. 

 
On February 27, 1958 Mike was born to Fred and Cecelia (Koplitz) Schindler in Curtiss.  
 

In 1976, he graduated from Abbotsford High School. He went on to further his education at Mid State and graduated from the Agricultural program. On Jan. 6, 1979, he married his high school sweetheart, Pam Luttinen.  
 

Mike and his brothers carried on the family farming tradition that became Schindler Farms Inc. He was a lifelong member of St. Bernard’s Catholic Church. In his free time he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, fishing, reading and the outdoors.

 
He is lovingly survived by his wife, Pam (Luttinen) Schindler; and children Brandon (Brooke) Schindler of Wausau, Tracey and Willy Vega of San Pedro Sula, Honduras, and Kelsi and Ryan Seubert of Wausau. He is the proud "Papa" of Ryder and Rhett Schindler and Sophie Seubert, all of Wausau. He is further survived by his parents, Fred Sr. and Cecelia Schindler of Curtiss; and eight siblings, Pat (Greg) Krause, Marie (Ted) Hoffman, Fred (Linda) Schindler, Jayne (Julian) Jannene, Leonard (Diane) Schindler, Peggy (Richard) Rau, Tim (Lisa) Schindler and Tom (Robyn) Schindler. He will be remembered by many nieces, nephews, friends and family.

 
A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church on Friday, April 23 at 11 a.m.  Father Al Jakobowzki and Father Nathan presided. A memorial gathering took place Thursday, April 22 from 4-8 p.m. at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church. 

 
The Maurina Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford assisted the family with funeral arrangements.
