Wolf, William (15 APR 1882-17 SEPT 1947)
Funeral services for William Wolf, 65, were conducted t St. Anthony’s Catholic church on Saturday, Sept. 20. The requiem high mass was read by the Rev. Fr. Rev. Aloys Zinthefer, and burial was in Hillside cemetery at Marshfield. Mr. Wolf died on Sept. 17 at St/ Joseph’s hospital in Marshfield, where he had been a patient since Sept. 11, following a heart attack.
Born on Apr. 15, 1882, Mr. Wolf lived for a number of years on a farm near Auburndale. Later he resided on farms near Marshfield and Chili, coming to Loyal three years ago. He had been employed for most of that time as janitor of St. Anthony’s church.
Surviving are his wife, four daughters, Mrs. Anthony (Dorothy) Miller and Mrs. Alfred (Rose) Rondorf of Marshfield, Mrs. Gerald (Frances) Schmidt of Neillsville and Mrs. Edward (Margaret) Schill of Auburndale, and two sons, Frank Wolf of Loyal and Gregor Wolf of Marathon. Also surviving are three brothers, Joseph of Greenwood, John of Colby and Andrew of Lindsey, and five sisters, Anna and Madeline of Marshfield, Margaret of Milwaukee, Barbara of Stratford and Clara of Eau Claire, and there are 30 grandchildren. Two sons died in infancy.
