Dorothy of Cross Plains and Alvin Miller of Loyal were united in marriage at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic church in Cross Plains. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Fr. Bollenbeck of Menomonee Falls, a cousin of the bride.
The bride was attended by Juliann Zander, her sister. Max Miller attended his brother. Ushers were David Bertz and Phil Zander.
After the ceremony, a wedding dinner was served at the bride’s home to 50 relatives. A reception was held in the afternoon, at which 75 were in attendance.
The newlyweds left on a two-week wedding trip to northern Wisconsin and Ironwood, Mich., and are making their home in Cross Plains until Arp. 1, when they will move onto the groom’s farm north of Loyal.
Relatives and friends from away who attended the wedding were: Mr. and Mrs. Joe Martinek of Calmer, Ia., Mrs. Ernest McIntyre of Neillsville, and Mrs. Ed Fulwiler, Mr. and Mrs. Rueben Bertz and daughter, Rose Mary, and sons, Robert and David, Max Miller and Mr. and Mrs. Raphael Haas and daughter, Mary, all of Loyal.
To the newlyweds, the Loyal Tribune extends its heartiest congratulations and best wishes for the future.
