Rosenquist, Justiana #3 (15 JUN 1879 - 1 AUG 1956)

Funeral rites were held at Bethany Lutheran Church in Owen Friday, Aug. 3, for Mrs. Justiana Rosenquist, 77, Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), who died of a heart attack Aug. 1, 1956 at her home in Withee.

The former Justiana Elizabeth Paalakarja, she was born in Aasa, Finland, June 15, 1879.  She was married Nov. 20, 1902, at Marquette, Mich., where she and her husband continued to reside until 1912, when they moved to a farm northeast of Owen.  They had been residing in Withee since their retirement in 1948.

Among the out of town people attending the funeral were Mrs. Hilma Gibbs and daughter, Carole, Harry Rosenquist, Mr. and Mrs. John Tapper and Mr. and Mrs. Norman Bakke, Waukegan, Ill.

The body reposed at the Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home and the rites were conducted by the Rev. John Saarinen and burial was made in Riverside Cemetery.  Pallbearers were John Siikarla, Henry Cass, Solomon Laakso, Henry Pertinen, Arthur Laine and Hjalmar Heikkein.  In charge of the flowers were Mmes. Lily Kile, Emil Hanson, Einar Laakso, Elsie Schultz, Elsie Potocnik and Miss Isabelle Martin.
