Laabs, Albert #3 (1872? - 12 AUG 1956)

 

Burial rites were conducted at Curtiss Wednesday afternoon, Aug. 8, at Pine Hill Cemetery for Albert K. Laabs, 84, a former resident of this community, who died Sunday at the Clark County Hospital at Owen.

 

Interment followed services held at the Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home in Owen, with the Rev. H. A. Wagner officiating.  "The Old Rugged Cross" and "What a Friend We Have in Jesus: were sung by the minister and his wife.

 

Nephews served as pallbearers and the flower girls were granddaughters of the deceased.  They included Bernard Laabs, Harold Laabs, Fred Laabs, Walter Laabs, Edward Bergstrom and Albert Schultz; and Darlene Krueger, Jeanette Laabs and Joanne Laabs.

 

Out of town relatives and friends at the funeral were Ferdinand Laabs, Pocatello, Idaho; Mr. and Mrs. Emil Laabs, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Laabs, Colby; Mrs. Lydia Laabs, Owen; William Laabs, Jr., and Franklin Laabs, Oshkosh; Mrs. George Pease and children, Bay City, Mich.; Mrs. Mary Kobs, Chicago; Mrs. Martha Meinholdt and daughter, Greenwood.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Marquardt, Mrs. George Tesmer, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Kasper, Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Klessig, Colby; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Marquardt, Mr. and Mrs. Orville Laabs and family, Milan; Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Laabs and son, Abbotsford; Mr. and Mrs. Edward Bergstrom, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Laabs, Mrs. Hubert Glenzer, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Laabs, Owen; Mr. and Mrs. Norbert Laabs and daughter, Nancy, Dorchester; Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Raymond, Wausau.
