Fitze, James H. (3 JUN 1870 - 24 AUG 1956)
Funeral rites were held at 2:00 o’clock Monday afternoon at St. John’s Episcopal Church, Wausau, for James Howard Fitze, 86, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), who died Friday at a Wausau hospital.
The Rev. William F. Donnelly, pastor of St. John’s Wausau, and the Rev. Laurence E. Brenton, pastor of St. Catherine’s Episcopal Church, Owen, officiated. Burial was made in Pine Grove Cemetery.
Mr. Fitze was born June 3, 1870, in Honesdale, Pa., and came to northern Wisconsin as a youth, marrying Loretta Thresher at Wausau Sept. 18, 1902. He was a farmer and carpenter, living at Plainfield many years.
Survivors include the widow, who resides at a rest home in Owen; seven children, Mrs. Harold Lussier, Mrs. Arthur Reichart, Wausau; Mrs. Regal Lamb, Oshkosh; Mrs. Clarence Parrish, Minneapolis; Mrs. James Bibby, Rock Island, Ill.; two sons, James, Owatonna, Minn., and William, Wis. Rapids; one brother, Edward, North Hollywood, Calif.; 18 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
