Baxter, Adele M. (Hemminger) (August 8,
1924 - May 9, 2010)
Adele M. Baxter, age 85, of Dorchester,
died Sunday, May 9, 2010 at the Memorial Health Care Center in
Medford, WI.
Memorial services will be Monday, May 17,
2010 at 11:30 AM at the Maurina Schilling Funeral Home in Owen,
WI. Visitation will also be on Monday, at the funeral home in
Owen from 10 AM until the time of services. Rev. Thomas Myhre
will officiate.
Adele was born on August 8, 1924 to
Lillian (Hamme) and John Hemminger in the Town of Hixon, Clark
County.
Adele married Ralph Baxter on Dec. 28,
1942. They farmed in Town of Mayville, for 14
years. Adele enjoyed square dancing, gardening, cooking and
spending time with her grandchildren.
Adele is survived by her five sons: Ralph (Judy) Baxter of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Ronald (Judy) Baxter of Owen,
Wis., Dan Baxter of Dorchester, Gary (Tammy) Baxter of Eau Claire,
Wis., Jack (Alice) Baxter of Dorchester. She was the proud
Grandma of 15 grandchildren and 17 Great Grandchildren. She is
further survived by her two sisters: Dorothy Beisner of Dorchester
and Harriett (Don) Thorne of Owen.
She is preceded in death by her husband
Ralph, sister Florence Baxter, and a brother Earl
Hemminger.
The Maurina Schilling Funeral Home in
Abbotsford is assisting the family with funeral
arrangements.

Her mother's name was not Lillian Hamme, it was Marian Hamme (spelled with an 'a' not 'o')
They farmed for 41 years (at least) not 14.
