Frank E. Friedenfels, 77, Withee, died
Friday, April 23 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 1 at 11 a.m. at Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Owen.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, April 30
from 4 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the
service.
Frank Friedenfels was born January 7, 1933 in the Town of
Maplehurst to the late Emil and Anna (Potocnik) Friedenfels.
He attended Redville School. He served in the United States National Guard.
On September 7, 1953 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Owen, he
married Lillian Pogodzinski, who survives.
He worked as a welder at Bucyrus Erie until moving back to Withee to take over the family farm. He farmed until 1975, and in the mid 1970s started his own business, Friedenfels Enterprise, where he worked until he retired.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, tree farming and nature.
In addition to his wife, survivors include, six children, Kathleen (Robert) Proszek of Valley, Wash., Debrah (Daniel) Tull of
Washburn, Michael (Elaine) of Medford, Sandra (Norman) Ray of
Withee, and David (Victoria) and Anthony (Roxanne), both of Owen;
many brothers and sisters; 22 grandchildren; and several
great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three
brothers, and a grandson, Christopher Friedenfels.
