Signe Kristiansen came up from Greenwood last Saturday to
help her brother in the drug store.
A party was given in honor of A.C. Nielsen and wife last
Friday evening by their relatives and friends.
Cashier Tufts has been under the weather a few days this
week. C.M. Hall of Owen helped him out in the bank.
An infant child of Mr. Borgeman’s died last Sunday. The
corpse was taken to Curtiss Monday noon for burial.
C. Madsen sold eighteen thousand brick to M. Funk last
Monday. Mr. Funk expects to put up a nice brick building as soon as
spring comes.
A.C. Nielsen and wife of Junction City, Oregon, who have been
visiting their children here for the past six weeks, left Sunday
for their home.
The minstrel show and dance given by the K.O.T.M. [Knights of
the Maccabees] at Owen last Saturday evening was the best ever had.
Great credit is due Mrs. C.M. Hall who had charge of the minstrels
for several weeks.
