Rasmussen, Wilhelmina M. (29 JAN 1888 - 5 OCT 1956)
Wilhelmina Marth Rasmussen, 68, died Friday, Oct. 5, 1956, at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, following an illness she suffered for nine months.
Born Wilhelmina Calbaum in the Town of Longwood (Clark Co., Wis.), Jan. 29, 1888, to Sophy and Henry Calbaum. After her marriage to Marius on Aug. 19, 1910, they moved to a farm south of Withee where she resided for 46 years. Five children were born to this union, Mrs. M. (Christine) Orth and Mrs. (Mary) Cammers, who preceded her in death, Mrs. Robert (Evelyn) Buss of Milwaukee and Mrs. Joe (Hilda) Mertens and one son Emil of Waupun.
Funeral services were held Monday, Oct. 8th at the Danish Lutheran Church, Withee, with Rev. W. Clayton Nielsen officiating. Burial was made in Riverside Cemetery. Neil Vater, Al Bower, Pete Christophersen, Karl Jensen and Ed Mercier served as pallbearers.
She leaves besides her husband, son and daughters, a sister, Mrs. Walter (Emma) Young of Genoa, Nevada, 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
